Day Tickets - Anglers may purchase a day ticket to fish Large lake (lake 32) from the various sales outlets in the area (more info). Day tickets are NOT available on the bank and are NOT sold by the Cotswold Country Park shop. Day ticket holders may fish from 9.00am until the Country Park closes. Closing times vary depending upon the time of the year, please consult the Cotswold Country Park website for details, or enquire at the Country Park shop. Fishing is ONLY allowed from 16 June until 14 March annually. Day ticket holders will also need to pay the Cotswold Country Park entrance fee, enabling them to park their car in the designated car park areas, within the Cotswold Country Park, whilst they fish at the Southern end of the lake, where angling is permitted.

Large Lake is situated within the Cotswold Country Park with good pedestrian access around it. No fishing is allowed at the northern end of the lake, or on the north east or north west or part of the west banks, as these areas are used by the other Country Park users, but there is plenty of bank space at the southern end of the lake, where you can fish in peace and solitude. (Consult your permit for details of fishing areas)

The lake contains a healthy population of carp, some quite large, a 33lb 8oz common was caught in September 2008. It is noted for its excellent bream fishing and on the day can produce some decent tench. There are also roach, perch in the lake, as well as a few large pike, which are caught occasionally.
