Neighbridge Lake (lake 56)

Members only are allowed to night fish all Club waters

The lake is open all year for fishing.

Day tickets are available and can be purchased from various outlets locally (more info). Day tickets must be purchased BEFORE commencing fishing as they are NOT sold on the bank.

There is easy pedestrian access around the lake, with free car parking (NB - there is a height bar restriction, preventing access to high sided vehicles) at the southern end, where there are two specially constructed swims providing wheel chair access for the less able-bodied angler. In addition there are several productive swims close to the car park for those who prefer to fish nearer to their car. (Please take care when using any steps accessing swims, as they can be slippery when wet.)

NO PARKING is allowed on the Pool Keynes road, which runs along the west side of the lake, nor is parking allowed in any of the gateways along the Poole Keynes road. Any member caught parking on the Poole Keynes road or in the gateways along the Poole Keynes road WILL face disciplinary proceedings.

Please ensure that bivvies and equipment do not obstruct the footpaths around the lake, particularly the south and west sides (alongside the car park and the Pool Keynes road sides). This is a shared facility and the public MUST have ease of access on the footpaths, otherwise the Club is in danger of losing the water. Thank you.

Neighbridge lake is one of the oldest of the Club's waters and has become a well established fishery holding a large head of all species. The lake, situated within a quiet Country Park, is a very pleasant place to while away a few hours of peaceful fishing, or longer, if you are after the specimen fish that inhabit the lake.

The lake contains a stock of common and mirror carp, which offer the carp angler some excellent sport, with a mirror of 40lb 2oz reported in May 2007. The Tench fishing can be good with fish up to 9 lbs. The lake can ocasionally produce quality roach, bream and perch. There are also some rudd but they are rarely fished for. In the cooler months, Neighbridge is well worth targeting for pike, with a 20lb+ pike being a possibility.

There are also a few chub in the lake, they have been there for sometime and although difficult to catch any fish caught will be a large one.
